Xavier Bau Weddings · Costa Mujeres, Mexico
Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres wedding photographer
Two couples, the same hotel, and photographs with a very different feel. Here are Victoria and Jose’s wedding and a selection from Lindsey and Luciano’s celebration, both photographed by Xavier Bau. Have a look at what you keep coming back to; that’s a good place for us to start.

A wedding photographed here
Victoria & Jose
Jose’s face when he sees Victoria before the ceremony says so much. I like having the photographs just before that moment, too: him dressed and waiting, her getting ready beside the window, the shoes and little details they chose.
Those images aren’t a separate checklist to rush through. Together, they help you remember what the morning felt like before everyone was in the same place.
The people around the ceremony
Victoria speaks into the microphone, they exchange rings, and then there’s the walk back down the aisle with everyone cheering. Their portrait beneath the veil belongs to the same story, but it isn’t the whole story. I want couples looking at my work to see both.
When the room fills with warm light
The reception photographs change the mood: tables under a canopy of lights, the first dance, glasses raised, and Victoria out on the dance floor with her guests. If the party is one of the things you’re most excited about, tell me when we plan your coverage.
Twelve selected photographs from Victoria and Jose’s wedding, including the opening portrait. This is a set of highlights, not their full delivered gallery.
Another celebration at the same hotel
Lindsey & Luciano
With Lindsey and Luciano, we step onto the beach. There are bouquets in the air, the veil pulled around them and the dress moving in the breeze. A little later they’re walking together beside the water.
The evening looks different again, with purple and blue light around the reception. These six photographs offer another view of a wedding here; they aren’t a promise that your spaces or lighting will be the same.
Let’s plan photographs around your celebration
If you’ve booked Grand Palladium, send me your date, the spaces you’ve chosen and the parts of the day you want photographed. We can talk everything through online before the wedding.
- Start with the spaces actually on your booking. Ask your coordinator to confirm the ceremony location, reception space and weather backup. We’ll plan from your arrangements, not assume another couple’s setup applies.
- Tell me whether beach portraits matter to you. Lindsey and Luciano’s selection can help you explain what you like. We’ll discuss how time together fits around your ceremony and guests.
- Include the first look if you want one. Victoria and Jose’s photographs show that part of their day. Meeting at the ceremony is a different choice, and we can plan for that too.
- Think about how you want the gallery to end. Speeches, your first dance and the party can change the coverage you need. Share those plans when you contact me.
Confirm the current outside-photographer requirements and any fees directly with your hotel coordinator. I don’t assume an exemption or quote hotel fees based on another wedding.
